We should charge the Leeds fans £26 like they did to us.

Exactly Mr Fireball.

I think that Mr Dibble is on the silly pills this afternoon.

If it meant some Leeds fans getting their heads kicked in then I think some people would say yes to that first question. Not me though. Honest.

Dibble is being awkward for the sake of being awkward. Just ignore him everybody.

Whereas you had only 22 other fights at various places? sctatchinghead

And 23 at home?? sctatchinghead

Really Mr Woody I usually stay out of these as I'm always welcomed on your board but I can sense your reaction to the animosity on here.

I know it's not you and your exile mates but truth is truth.

watching mouthy arseholes from west yorkshire getting their heads kicked in....... yes it probably was.

not quite as much fun as watching them running out of the peacock pub crying their eyes out, but great fun nonetheless.[/quote]

Well it wasn't really that bad was it, the lads who got trouble were idiots for making themselves known, I don't really know what other outcome was expected we were hardly gunna "take your end". But I don't recall anybody being reported ending up in hospital.
As for the peacock, I'v never heard that tale and find it very unlikely.

Saw youtube footage, just shows a load of singing .....http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qxYlRbmD8ck&NR=1

I was on holiday for this game so couldn't comment, just never heard of Leeds fans running out of the peacock and the video above was the only thing I could find.

After tranmere at home that season they no longer let away fans in the peacock, a load of them came in singing when the wrong people were in and ended up crawling out.

first season we played at your gaff. all the way from the car park we were griefed and we were with kids. people bumping into you on purpose, comments like " hartlepool, hartlepool, who the fook are you. "

over the road from the ground theres a pub, pretty sure its called the peacock. bunch of these leeds arseholes are doing the same making their mouths go. problem is that they do it in front of some hartlepool lads who they didnt realise were from hartlepool and who really dont take to that kind of thing.

end result these lads from leeds get a good hiding, which was merited. by the time the police storm the place the hartlepool lads have made their escape.

we then have the sad sight of leeds hooligan firms on message boards bad mouthing pools and saying their hardcore hooligans had booted off with a group of kids and were out of order.

hartlepool fans are pretty easy going, but theres a fair few wont take shiit from anyone regardless. they aremnt hooligans, they are just lads who happen to be hard.

as it happens i abhor violence. im a lily livered liberal, i was just being a c***.

Me and a lad who worked with me were in there that day, leeds giving it the big un shouting obcenites then a glass had been thrown from the leeds fans and then all hell broke loose taz

Couple of leeds got put down then we had to scarper as old bill came in, to my dismay my mate had been taken away for the chew locked him up in the ground. He later got 3 months of her majestys pleasure

Yes - The only tragedy last season was that there wasn't more Leeds fans who got a smack. I'm not one for voilence myself but sometimes people get exactly what they deserve.....

Why I now have a low opinion of Leeds United fans:

Firstly just after Leeds had been relegated before I knackered my knees, I was playing 5-A-Side football at a place called football City just near Elland Road. Leeds had recently been relegated. I went past in my Hartlepool shirt. A drunk tosser in a Leeds shirt asked me, “what are you wearing a fucking Blackburn shirt for”. I said “it’s not a Blackburn shirt, it’s a Hartlepool one”. He replied “what you wearing a fucking Hartlepool shirt for, what fucking division are they in” (he liked to use the f word a lot, I’ve noticed he isn’t the only one). I politely told him that we were in Leeds’ division. He flipped. He threatened to whack a glass bottle over my head and started following me shouting abuse in the process. I walked to the bus stop. I then decided to ring several friends and relatives for help. I was debating on ringing the police. He then approached me and had sort of calmed down (I believe this was because he thought I was on the phone to the police). He still came out with comments such as “we shouldn’t be playing you” etc. As he still had the bottle in his hand I decided not to say anything back. Thankfully the bus came.

Fast forward a few weeks and we’re playing Leeds.

Me and my friend Mr. Cook were on the shuttle buses and as the shuttle bus passed a HUFC supporters coach I saw a middle aged hooligan do cut throat signs to the Hartlepool bus. I looked to see who he was doing it to....he was doing it to two children about 11 or 12 years old.

He then said to his mate something along the lines "Hartlepool who the fuck do they think they are, they're fucking cup final, fucking not nice people" and more ramblings.

After exciting the ground we heard more bitter ramblings such as we shouldn't be playing the likes of Hartlepool. I never heard Leicester fans saying it.

Fast forward to next season:

After exciting Victoria Park last season and seeing a group of Leeds fans start on a guy who has slight walking difficulties (I'm guessing as he stands at the bottom of the Town End but never goes up the steps) I have never spoken to this fan but he doesn’t look like a tough guy. I then realised that a lot of those Leeds fans who were waiting for the Pools fans to exit were cowards. They did not start on those who look like they can handle themselves.

I've been shouldered many, many times at Elland Road. The only other club I have experienced this with was Doncaster when we beat them at home on the opening day of the season a few seasons ago. That was just one fan.

One thing that I haven't previously mentioned is this convo I heard on the way to Elland Road (I was going to mention it but the stewarding took my attention).

Leeds Fan 1: The F.A. shouldn't allow Hartlepool to be at home to Leeds.

Leeds Fan 2: Matchbox stadium. Their pitch is shocking. (No I'm not taking the piss, they complained about our pitch.)

Leeds Fan 1: They should make both matches be at Elland Road.

The sad thing is I'm not on a wind up.

After going on a certain Leeds forum last season to compliment them, I got loads of abuse. As did Woody for quite rightly calling them tossers. (http://www.waccoe.com/lofiversion/index ... 45154.html).

Now I know some Leeds fans are alright, I'm sure they're saints but every time we play them my opinion lowers of them, which is quite sad really as when we first played Leeds I had an open mind.

But there was one massive warning sign:

Imagine if we'd have done that.

Now I understand a large proportion of Leeds fans are OK but those that are letting the club down need stopping. I reckon for every tosser you come into contact with it takes 5 decent fans to change your opinion of the club. Staggeringly those fans that are OK and don’t condone it tend to turn a blind eye or make excuses for them. It's not normal and it's not acceptable.

And finally, we should be trying to set a good example of how fans should behave. Not condoning violence ourselves.

no one condones innocent people getting hurt, but shouting your mouth off and being disrespectful is asking for trouble no matter where you go.
