According to Sky Sports Andy Monkhouse is top of Gus Poyet's wish list.

Anyone think he would go.

They would have to buy him he just signed a new 2 year contract with us.

Or is this an old story re-hashed by Sky Sports from a couple of months ago?

Monkhouse is not a player of the pink oboe so I would suggest that this is not a logical move.

I thought the "Oracle" new everything so why are you depending on SKY sports  bbolt

Anyway this will never happen unless Brighton come up with £250k as Monkey is in contract.

the cost of living down there will be extortionate, so I often wonder why Lower League players don't opt for Northern clubs more often.
Seriously, if I was a lower league pro and offered the same money (more or less) by both Bournemouth and Grimsby, it would be a no brainer as to which one to sign for.
I'm amazed anybody from up north would want to sign for a lower league southern club at all. The other way around however would make perfect sense for a southerner wanting to move up North. More disposable income surely? I would find it hard to believe that Brighton could make it worth his while to go in any case.
