Yeah, but they only reported that because there's been a lot of controversy over that pitch, Wasps wanted their Guinness Premiership away match at Sale Sharks to be abandoned just minutes from kick off with a full house because they felt the pitch was unfit.

Sale Sharks RFC actually own Edgeley Park and have an agreement with Stockport County FC that allows them to play their League football matches there, on the condition Sale are allowed first pick of the dates to play at home.

And Stockport have had there FA Cup tie against Torquay postponed. Twice.

Well, I can understand why you thought it may not have been very important, but the reason why they've told you is because there's been a story behind that pitch in the last week or so, otherwise they wouldn't have said anything.
