Wanting to get a phone unlocked to use on a different network. Anyone know any where that does it cheap. I have seen online sites but you never know what to trust online these days

You can do it for free with most phones.

The following method is usually a good place to start, especially with Nokia phones.

Press "menu" and then the "star" key.

Small stall in the indoor market charges about £10. he may have to keep it for 1 day or so , as he has take it home and he lives out of town, if it the same one who did one I had a while ago.

here is a little tip,nearly every phone we have bought for the daughter from carphone warehouse has been unlocked all they do is give you the handset and the sim package for which network you want, we have just bought her a new phone for xmas and it will take any sim it's supposed to be o2 and i tried my orange sim and it worked with no problem

There's only really Sony Ericssons that are a bit of a pig. Most makes, you can get the info off the internet and it's quite straightforward. :wink:
