I'm taking the wife's car for an MOT in Middlesbrough on Saturday morning. The way I currently feel I wouldn't be devastated if I didn't make it back in time for the match.

But I'll no doubt be there, I just hope that I don't get back too late to go in stone cold sober as I don't know if I could handle that the way we're playing at the moment. sadx

The early season optimism has dissipated and we seem to be left with a re-run of the Scott season. The league table is scarily similar at this point of the season to how is was in the relegation season. Under Scott we were 15th, we're only a point off that position now.

We've got enough quality in the squad to survive this season although talk of play offs is laughable. I'm afraid that I can find no reason to disagree with the conclusion that the problem is in the manager. I think CT is too close to the players and we need someone who will shake them up out of this confort zone they've been in since the promotion season. CT talks of needing time to gel, I suspect its the other way on and that the new players have sucumbed to the cosy little atmosphere within the dressing room.

Bring in a horrible nasty man who will make these lightweights graft for a living.

Sadly concurring.

I'm not sure what worries me more at the moment; the midfield or the strikers.

Lets face it, Boydy has been below par all season and he is currently our most attacking threat by a country mile. That's worrying.

The midfield is all over the place and I think we are going to get some serious pastings over the next couple of months because of it.

We desperately need that tough tackling killer in there.

But with Jones and Monkhouse we have two of the four places covered. And Humphreys is OK with Jones for now.

Its upfront where we are really desperate.

If Turner is relying on Brown to suddenly become fit, then the man needs sectioning.

We need an injection of aggression and pace. Coupled with a modicom of skill of course.

We are not THAT short from being a decent side.

Its just that those ingredients are vital.

Agree with all that and I think thats what frustrates the fans the most.. We are not far off being a decent side.

I agree aswell about the Team....we just need someone in who will Manage!!!! confised

Also....is it true that Browny hasn't been training as he should for the last cou8ple of months cos his knee kept flaring up after EVERY game....and he was been treated with Ice and Ice baths!!!! confised
That's very worrying if it's true....cos if that was known why did Turner say we don't need to bring anyone in before the Loan window closed?!?! sctatchinghead confised

And he still hasn't got a clue Team wise....he started using Grieluch or whatever he's called a few weeks back....and now he's brought Bjohnsson and Foley back into the Fold!!!! stpid

I'm 80-20 to not going tomorrow....why waste money and an afternoon on watching shite when we know it could be so much better....but I can't wait to see what team he starts with!!!!

His comments that he is under no pressure from IOR to achieve much is alarming. Well, it thats the case why should ANY fan bother to pay £18 to watch a team that are not charged with having any ambition even.

IOR are quite happy for the club to idle along and stay mid-table. Turner suits their policy. I think Hodcroft (IOR) got very worried by Neale Cooper's success which ended with the two not even talking to each other. They communicated by fax machine.

Further Pools success, IMO, hinges on the ground sale, and the revenue any outside-football activities generate. And I'm still not convinced on whether the ground should be sold.

If he goes, he has to go completely, no being moved back to some backroom post, always there in the background, casting a shadow over proceedings. Time for a change, the 90 day hassle free trial is over, I'm not impressed.

Are there any prospects in the youth squad?

From what I saw of the Youth Team the other night possibly but it's not the time to play the kids unless there's some real exceptional talent.
Mind,I was very impressed with Barron, and hopefully one day he can make the grade where scotty failed so miserably.
The last ten minutes of what I saw of the kids was more fight than I saw in the whole of the 2nd half of the last home game.

Moaning sctatchinghead I think yesterdays win emphasises even more why we need a decent manager.
After yesterdays performance it seems like we might have a decent set of players but just need someone with the tactical know how to get the most out of them most games instead of just one in three or four.

Me too. Got very pissed last night and it was great to talk about the positives for a change.
I'd still love Turner to be successful at the job, so lets just hope yesterday wasn't a one off.
