Teen accused of urinating on war memorial

A TEENAGER is due in court accused of urinating on Hartlepool's war memorial.
The 19-year-old is charged with being drunk and disorderly after an incident at the stone monument in Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on Tuesday.

He will appear at Hartlepool Magistrates' Court on Monday just a month after the Mail reported how skateboarders, revellers and graffiti artists have blighted the Victory Square structure...

I saw a bloke arrested on Saturday night for pissing on the war memorial... I saw this in the paper and thought it was the same incident, but this says it happened on Tuesday... two piss incidents in a week?

Is there an epidemic or what? To be fair the lad I saw was so pissed he probably didn't know where he was having a slash. Still, some of the people I was with were about to fill him in when two coppers and a cop car showed up and dragged him off.

Does it really make any difference sctatchinghead

I would sooner stand in the middle of Victoria road and piss my pants for all to see than ever piss on a war memorial and if i ever seen anybody do it i would smash them to pieces

...but you've just made an excuse, ... if you were so pissed you drove a car and knocked someone down and killed them...? You tend to find that excessive drinking is no mitigation in law, your actions, your responsibilty....

There's at least six toilets within 'ooohh-- aaahh tiptoe' distance no matter how desperate you are.

Let's be honest if you get caught short on victoria road i'd have thought the civic would have been the choosen spot to have a piss

In all seriousness pissing on a war memorial is bad crack, surely no one has lost that sense of awareness due to drink whilst out on the piss and if you have that generally means you wouldn't be able to walk up to it and piss on it!
