Just wanted to say what a great book this is. We might have had a very long wait, but I think it has been wothwhile. It's been done very professionally, is very comprehensive and has loads of great pictures - many of which are in colour.

Last years book by Col was good - but this one is far better - and at £18 for the soft back and £25 for the hardback it represents good value.

It's a great piece of memorabilia to celebtrate 100 years of Pools existence and I would like to congratulate evryone who has been involved with it. clappp clappp clappp

ahem - same author for 1908-2006 -Scotty's relegation season was the biscuit for me and I couldn't do anymore!! nothing in the press about the author and not emblazoned on the book cover but happy to let the club take the credit for it (as long as i let everyone know who researched it, sourced a lot of the unseen old photos for (some which were just too old to make it in as quality was poor) and who spent a couple of years of his life writing it) - more than me involved afterwards but although it sounds like it, I aint complaining. I did the book I always wanted to do (A-Z) and being able to do this was a bonus and a pleasure as far as I was concerned. It's been professionally edited and then a lot of work spent on it by two tireless grafters at the club too, who have seen it through to fruition. Proud to have been involved with it.

I'm reading mine now on page 134 and am really enjoying as I haven't looked at it for a good two years now.

Glad you're enjoying it too.

Those who ain't got it get along to Tesco on Thursday and get one signed or to the club ticket office, it really is good. A century of poolies - a-z of all pools players 1908-2008 (which came out last year) is still available - drop me a line if you want one.

its gonna cost a fortune to post over there matey - my other one was a tenner to post over (still waiting  ) and this other one uses a bigger font so much bulkier - i reckon you'll be looking at £15+ overseas post.

I must admit though, other than the kids and one spot of decorating that was really good, these two books are the things that i am most proud of.

i'd email media@hartlepoolunited.co.uk and one of them will let you know prices
