Its never been the same since it became the "Yakker" Mail... I can't believe it was once compulsory for people to read it! I know I've said this before but we even used wait outsidethe paper shop on a Wednesday to get the fookin thing for my Dad.. Now its just full of "none" stories. If they went to a weekly edition maybe it may be worth reading.. to be honest it can't be long before it shuffles off the planet all together .. confised

It'll be weekly or bi-weekly within 12 to 18 months, IMO. Before then, it'll move out of Wesley Square, well over half building isn't used anymore, making it too expensive to run.
The reproters will end up in some factory unit along Brenda Road, next door to a Greggs if they had their way. I remember the days when reporters would spend their time in pubs, talking with people. Now they just sit in the office rewriting press releases. Sad.

Of course, the Gentleman of the Press you're referring to never actually visited pubs or drank to get stories off contacts. It was to satisfy his own alcholic needs, which in turn led to writing books about paranormal activity, usually centred around the Seaton Hotel.

According to Chris Young in Mondays Mail, last Saturday at Brighton was the first time Pools Defence has let 3 goals in this season. That was his opening gambit too..not hidden in amongst the main story.

We only reached the 3rd round of the cup last season according to this....
