Now equal 3rd on the all time list of appearances, alongside Alan Goad.

Only 6 more appearances need to move clear into 2nd place. clappp

Richie Humphries is a poolie legend, fantastic that he's completed so many appearences for a club he clearly loves.

Well done Richie clappp

It boils my bubbles at times to read the slagging Richie gets on here rage

How many players stay ten years at a club these days? It's called loyalty!

I slag off Richie Humphreys on here and will continue do if/when he puts in a substandard performance. Whether he has played 4 games or 400 games, he is getting paid a ridiculous amount of our money to do so and it's our right as a supporter to criticise where appropriate.

Slagging them off at a game is different and uncalled for but if people want to criticise him on here then I don't see the problem, he's no different to any other player in my eyes.

I only ever do that when they are totally shyte. :coool:

A humphreys thread on here will often get 5-6 pages of banter.

Half the people would happily sleep with him if he offered it to them on a plate, reckon he's the best thing since time began and believe he's the greatest player that ever walked, ignoring any flaws, believing a simple 2 yard pass needs applauding.

At the grimsby game, about 5 minutes in, humphreys played a simple pass to haslam at right back, nothing fancy, was probs his first touch, he piped up "he's having a good game tonight humphreys", i thought jesus christ.

The other half of the people on this thread, will recognise he was and still is a competent player, who has given a great service to this club over the years, but now, can aknowledge that he isn't the player he was and probs doesnt deserve a place in the team.

But will be shot down by the doogooders who are waiting for the day humphreys walks in their local so they can whipe his arse when he goes to the bog.

Got to disagree with you there I think Monky is one of our better players. Last season granted he underacheived but didnt everyone at the club? Would you drop Monkhouse then?

He underachieved last season and the season before. That is a long period to not be performing.

I wouldn't drop him as I don't think we have anyone better unfortunately

He should play, end of story. It makes me laugh when people think they are knowledgeable about football because they have been watching pools for ten years and once had a trial at a club when they were 16.
FFS do you think he has been picked 300+ times by various managers because he plays badly......Open your eyes, the bloke is a talented football player who plays the game how it should be played....

In pure footballing terms, it's difficult to knock a record of so many games and there was a time when he was a crucial part of the team. He is living on past glories now, something I expect he has recognised himself given he's collecting coaching badges and becoming involved in peripheral activities.

Anybody who believes he is as good as he was five years ago is deluded.

That aside though it is a completely different argument as to whether or not he should currently be in the team, but some of the roused rabble on here seem unable to seperate the two issues.

For some reason RH seems to polarise opinion in most folk.

He should be used like beckham is for england, sparingly, and when needed.

The odd cameo here and there and the odd 15 minutes at the end of games to steady the ship.

Maybe, IF (or perhaps when) we had (have) somebody better to play from the start.

At the moment he is one of our best two central midfielders alongside Mr Jones.
