Why are Bet 365 only offering odds of 3/1 on Armann Bjornsson to score first?

You can't make money on him scoring any time.

Brown is 9/2, Boyd is 11/2, Behan and Larkin are 6/1.

What do Bet 365 know that we don't?

Im not sure although I was speaking to 2 Icelandic people at the match on Saturday at Exeter who had come to see him play. Although he was on the bench they spoke very highly of him.

The odds seem funny admittedly. Very generous on Boyd who could well start with the Iceman.

He is yet to score and played very little but you think 3/1 is about right? Good job your not a bookmaker. Even Torres etc when playing against Burnely/Hull aint that short. Ridiculous price even if he does score first.

Surely for the bookmakkers it would be a very good price for them if he did score first. Thats all they bothered about.

Yeah but who is gonna take such a ridiculous price? Therefore if no one backs it they dont make money. :roll:

If I was wanting to put a bet on Bjornsson tonight I'd have been expecting 4/1 and hoping for 5/1, 3/1 is slightly harsh but not to be totally unexpected. We're playing a team that have conceded an average of approxmately two goals per game this season in a division that is absolutely bobbins, the bookies will be expecting us to put 4 past them tonight and Bjornsson is the forward who is most likely to be playing.

They have probably made a mistake because as you say, it won't entice anyone to back him but with a bit of luck they'll have got it spot on and he'll notch in the first five minutes.

It must also be said that bet365 are generally very generous, I remember recommending the 15/2 on Behan a few weeks back against someone at home which he duly obliged with.

I apologise again for suggest 3/1 was about right. Stick a 0 after the 3 and I still wouldn't be tempted again.

i think i had more chance of scoring with flinders wife than that icelandic dude did of hitting the back of the net tonight.
