The Mail has a fixation about Owton Manor

Why do they, everytime they quote Boyd allows follow it up with " said the Owton Manor born striker.

Do they think it's a hinderance to be born there and so use it to say well you can escape the Manor.

Or

Do they think it's a good thing to be born there.

Whichever they think it is I do wish they wouldnt use it every time they quote Boyd, banghead

it really is getting on my nerves.

BUT, Are you West View BORN , or West View RAISED, unless Boyd was a home birth (I dont Know) he cant have been Owton Manor born, technically. Took home to Owton Manor yes but not born.

well i'm camerons hospital born, so my post should have read...

Said yubep, the camerons hospital born, raised in west view, resided at king oswy for his teens, lived in spain for 3 months, had a short stint in seaton carew and bakers mead, now settled in the elwick road area of town.

Now there's the Mail going to try to be correct and that's what they will be putting from now on. rolfl

They never say, Humphreys "Sheffield born", Scott Flinders" Rotherham born" etc.

They love to play on the local boy dun good thingy, they do it with hartley too, clavering school pupil i believe is a particulary favourite for him.

It's a way of bigging up the town, but everyone in the town knows boydy is pools born, it's not really needed.

It's paddling to fill space in the paper. When they've used up all the "Clavering-born" this and the "Victoria Park-based Pools" that ... they make the pictures bigger. :wink:
