That melee was caused by an over the top tackle by their number 13 (I think) but both teams were lucky to keep 11 men on the pitch, Monkhouse waded in and i thought Nels was going to kill their 13

Shades of the 1974 Lions South Africa '99' tour. Hopefully Wilson said to the big lads 'if they hit one, they hit you all so get stuck in and let them know you're there together.'

Maybe that drew their sting and it sounds as if it won us the game. It's the only way to play Martin Allen. At Brentford last year we had two players go off with head injuries if anyone remembers.
