To be fair, better being in the home end, in terms of view point. The away end is up in the gods.. Apparantley the top of that stand is 1mile away from the other end of the field

a mate of mine is a rangers season ticket holder and he said they have sold 1,400 tickets already. Pretty impressive support considering they only get 12,000 at home and they have hardly set the world on fire this season. Come on you R's

Are you sure Mr Stu??

In old money, a footy pitch is a maximum 150 yards long. That'd mean that that stand from front to back would be 1520 yards less the bit between the goal line and the front, which from the telly looks to be about 3 yards. sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

He's always been a Newcastle/Pools supporter but stopped his season Tickets for Pools when their youngun' turned 16 and he couldn't afford a season ticket for them both!!!! confised confised

He said it works out cheaper going to watch Newcastle!!!! confised

I've told him that Newcastle can afford to have tickets just as cheap as Pools cos of the crowds they get etc like!!!! confised banghead

It may not be a mile away but it has to be one of the highest up and furthest away from the pitch stands in the country.

When Frank Lampard scores at St.James and points up to his mam pat in the sky the away fans are sat with her!!

It was the most nervous I've been at a match since probably Pools at Cardiff....I so much wanted QPR to beat them to shut those fecking Gordie Wankers up!!!! rage banghead rage

Here's the song they sang most....

"your support is f***ing s***"!!!!

And this after QPR sold out their Allocation of just over 2,000!!!!

Thick Geordie bastards!!!! banghead stpid

At least some aren't that thick like....

I 'gree with you that is f***ing stupid our fans singing to clubs who have sold there allocation out travelled up miles London/Plymouth done a fair bit of singing themselves to only have our mob sing to them "your support is f***ing s***" they are hardly Fulham or Chelsea ffs.'

I've just seen the penalty the Geordies got.

He blasted it from about 2 yards at his hand, if that had been at the other end QPR would never have got it. banghead banghead

He had about 0.00000001th of a second to get his hand out the way.

Dennis Wise is still on sky sports news now trying to explain it to the viewers but he can't work out how to look at the monitor and talk at the same time.

If it had been 'hand to ball' it would have been one of the finest saves of all time!

I don't agree with the sentiment of 'they are mostly given these days'. That just says the refs are no longer going by the letter of the law, surely?

and yes I'd have been screaming if that had been an opposition player against Pools but thats my right as a biased football supporter.
