Can't hear any singing on the text commentary  Anybody know how it is going?

From Pools Player - Monks second goal cam from some excellent work by Collins on the wing. Can't hear much singing since kick off - doesn't mean that there isn't any though.

Apparently, the singing could be heard on the moor on the Headland in the first half. (Our kid was down there with the young uns)

Died off in the second half though.

good effort by all concerned

Me thinks the acoustics are shit in the Milhouse as heard very little in Cyril Knowles. Certainly a good turn out of numbers though.

well i went to my normal spot in the town end and thought the singing section brought a bit more noise out of the town end so the atmosphere was a big improvement.
the singing section looked like they were having a good time

It was a bit daft changing ends though to be fair...... What's the point in having a singing section if half the people move ? sctatchinghead

All this talk of having the rink end and accoustics is F**ing shite, there will still be excuses and grumblings of some. The most practical place to be is the mill house seats at the moment. There were a lot of kids in that area but if people actually get behind the idea the atmosphere could be great.

Hopefully next home game the atmosphere will be a lot better and people haven't given up....? Amd if people seriously want it to work then shifting at hallf time is a non starter.....

No he didn't. He said that it was disappointing that the second half was a bit quiet, although reading on here that could be to do with some people swapping ends and others staying put.

To be honest, I thought I'd DONE my bit.

Nobody else had to follow me to the other end. As you may have noticed, I wear pretty thick glasses and I could barely see the Town End goal from the position we were in in the first half!

Next time I'll put my distance gegs on and stay put. Youse can all shout "You're Shyte, And You Know You Are" in both halfs!

I firmly believe that you did your bit, as you always do. Giving up your time to approach the club in an attempt to improve the atmosphere in the ground was also a fantastic effort. I hope your efforts gather momentum and eventually the whole of our home support joins in, although getting the CK to respond would qualify for a lifetime achievement award.
In an effort to give you and the club some feedback, which your collective efforts clearly deserve, I pointed out that, apart from a few chants, we couldn't make out what you were singing. My only comment was, and still is, that I think the wrong area has been chosen.
That comment is not made in order to detract from your efforts or the efforts of the gathered throng, indeed i am full of admiration for the whole bunch of you.
I would rather you saw it as constructive feedback.
Once again, well done.

I think the Mill House corner was chosen, as we realised that many people already there would just not go into the town end. So many of us gave up our usual positions to go over there.

Its not great there, sound wise, but neither is the town end.

Infact, apart from the rink end, the whole ground is rubbish for sound.

To build up some momentum though, it would be good if next home game, we were allowed to do it again.

And maybe keep it in the same place.

But to build that momentum, more people who want to join in would have to sacrifice their sacred spots and join in.....surely?

I can concur with all of that.

i think a few wins at home would be the best thing to build up a bit of momentum. Although i think the club should definately allow the singing section again. It was a great laugh, even if the positioning of it was a bit shit.
