queen were the support band for mott the hooples 1973 tour
The band went on their first major tour in March 1974 which was then followed by an extensive American tour, again supporting Mott The Hoople. However, In May '74, Brian collapsed with Hepatitis, and Queen had to cancel the remaining tour dates.
