Who remembers the 1982 Christmas Chas & Dave TV special with Jim Davidson, Eric Clapton and Peters and Lee? The TV studio was made to look like an eastend pub with free booze on tap for the performers and audience.

Chas and Dave were session musicians on a 60's track that was sampled and used by emminem (dont know how to spell that!). It sold millions world wide and made many millions of dollars - they got 50 quid or something. The bloke who hired them and wrote the original song got a descent wad. I think it was a hit back then.

Hows that for a half arsed bit of a story. True though.
