On for Sheff Wed for the last 13 minutes in the Sheffield derby at Bramall Lane. They are 3-2 down to United.

I think his point is that Tommy Miller, ex-pools, is on as a sub for Sheff Wednesday, it wasn't fooking rocket science !

I think we have to draw a line somewhere. An ex player who left 8 years ago and comes on as a sub for 13 minutes or so in what, to us is a meaningless game. Should that really get a mention on here sctatchinghead

so let me get this right, we are allowed to post whatever we like on here (there's no such thing as off-topic) there are music threads, threads about random words, threads about Darlo, threads about absolute bollock all..........yet the one thread you 2 numpties pick up on is a thread about a former (and one of our very best ever) players.

I wonder if Madjohn, PJ, Ripper, ElvisC etc had posted it, whether you would have felt the need to comment in the same way sctatchinghead

PoK has a comment to make and he made it well. There's plenty of comment about Darlow on here. What's that to us? Should it get a mention? Tommy Miller was a well-liked Pools player. I think it's interesting to see how far he's fallen.

More please PoK. clappp

Too f*ckin right I would have! We have been trying to clamp down on all the pointless anti darlo threads have we not? We have also been trying to keep a lid on the premiership stories. Tommy Miller playing for 13 minutes in the championship does not warrant a whole thread on here.

If "Madjohn, PJ, Ripper, ElvisC etc" were to post such a thing they would get grief for it. Only beacuse POK says it does not mean im going to sit quietly. I dont discriminate.

What about the Micky Nelson threads? So they don't deserve a place here? In that case, the Bunker should restrict itself to current playing staff and current games. sctatchinghead stpid

Why draw the line at Tommy Miller? Lets post everytime an ex player makes an appearance. I look forward to hearing about Matty Robson, Jon Daly, Jeff Smith, Don Hutchison, Kevin Kyle every weekend.

Fair enough if an ex player played for his country or something or in a European Cup final but Tommy Miller playing 13 minutes in the championship??

Why dont we just set up a 'sticky' thread at the top and those who are interested could list our ex players and post notifications as and when they play.

So on a football board, a Hartlepool United one, you think making a new thread about a Tunnocks Caramel Log has more relevance than a thread about Tommy Miller, ex Hartlepool United player who was rumoured to be coming back in the summer?

Actually thinking about it, you're probably right.....

Maybe POK just fancied a conversation about the game hes watching on telly.
Whatever his reason its a perfectly harmless thread & theres no reason why he shouldnt have started it.

You go ahead with your plan Tree, there is certainly no reason why you shouldn't, but don't be dissapointed if each thread isn't as 'active' as this one has been, and it will not be a stain on your character, or be held against you, if they're not.

maybe because none of the players involved will be playing in games that are live on the box

No, no, you don't HAVE to but you can if you want. It has a little bit of relevance in that he was here and he was popular.

Talking about the ins and outs of Sunderland for instance and then telling mods and admins that you have a perfect right to say what you want when questioned, contrary to what the comment at the top of the board says, is a no-no.

I hope that makes things clear.

Now there's nowt to fight about so stop fighting.

Honest, you fookers would pick a fight in a monestry.

Bizzarely enough, Kevin Kyle actually gets an article in the latest issue of the French footy bible that is ONZE MONDIAL. The headline is 'Kyle is back', and mentions his loan spell with us. I've subscribed to this mag for years, and never thought I'd see my beloved Pools mentioned in it!

There is a god :uhoh:
