He is obviously right about the lack of atmosphere. I would say however that the cause of this does not rest solely with the fans. Im sure once the players start winning games at home the atmosphere will improve. The players cant expect a carnival atmosphere when they are currently going through what is probably the poorest home spell in a long long time. I cant even remember the last home win!

Yes, the negativity of the fans wont help matters but this happens at all clubs whatever Winter says. If the fans start seeing some wins and the crowds increase then the atmosphere will take care of itself. A lot of the fans have little confidence in our manager and this needs to improve before the 'feel-good' factor which we had under neale cooper returns. Until we start winning home games the majority of the fans (who dont attend away fixtures) are bound to feel a bit glum seeing regular defeats and an occasional draw.

The players should still be capable of winning games when there is no atmospehere. The opposition have been doing it at the Vic!

The feel good factor is back. I dont get this negative shiit now. Its not last season any more.

I think the feel-good factor is coming back! I dont think it is 'back' yet. If things start picking up at home and we get a bit of momentum, the fans get more confidence etc etc then im sure that feel good factor will be back. It is way too early in the season to say that things are all rosy, likewise it is way to early to say that things are not 'right'.

CT and the players need to start getting some wins at home before anyone could possibly say that the feel good factor is back!!! How can the fans who dont attend the away games feel happy right now having not seen a win in soooo long.

You all know im talking sense, whether you like it or not.

Some decent results at home and the atmosphere will take care of itself especially given these great efforts re the singing section.

Cooper has been and gone. Even HE struggled towards the end. The only reason I mentioned Cooper was that there was an incredible atmosphere when he was in charge and the players always gave 100% (until the back end of his reign when things went wrong). The fans were really behind the team back then.

I don't know. Maybe they could look at a league table and see that we've started pretty well. Maybe they could see the progress being made on and off the pitch by a club that seems determined to listen to the supporters (an overdue change?). Maybe they could look at the reserves and see a team packed with players pushing for a place in the first eleven, rather than the going-through-the-motions stuff that has been commonplace. Maybe they could stop monotonously harking back to Neale Cooper and accept that just because the club doesn't reproduce the best season in their lifetime every other year it doesn't mean that everything is going to ratshit. Just suggestions, you may have others. I know someone who was working away and didn't see a single win in our 2002/03 promotion season. It didn't stop him from being fooking delighted by what was happening.

Oh come on! Yeah I know the league table looks 'promising' but you cant expect those fans who pay so much money to attend home games to have big grins on their faces when we lose at home all the time. That is just ridiculous.

The league table gives us hope that we can change our home form around then we may have a great season and if we do then the Vic will have more of a buzz about it.

I know the numbers we are getting through the gates is poor and I hate a lot of the people in this town who dont gives a monkeys about Pools but I dont see how anyone can chastise them for keeping their £20 in their pockets when they are so familiar with us losing at home.

Once they see that we are getting some home results then attendances will improve.
