A bit odd, but does anyone know anyone who married someone with the same surname?

A lad I went to school with said his man had the same maiden name as his dad (Pounder), which at least will have meant no fannying on for her changing names on documents etc after the wedding.

Perhaps a bit more risk of congenital disease though.

I worked with a guy who is as local as you can get whose grandparents were both called Mahy.

They had to prove to the vicar that they weren't related.

I worked with a scottish lass while in the RAF called Angie Henderson, who married a lad also called Henderson. I remember her mainly because another lad in our office wrote 'Angie Henderson is well endowed' on one of the index files. She had quite a large set of bosoms.

There's only 100 surnames here so it happens all the time but the wife doesn't take the husbands name anyway so it doesn't really matter.......
