Daft as a brush big laugh and all that but how does the club let this person wander around the away end on matchdays he is an embarrassment to the club and the town please ban him from games.

I'm in full concurrence. What would happen if we all put a dress on and marched into the away end? The away fans must think we're all rarfs.

There's quite a few folks go to Pools who wear bloke's clothes who are far more dangerous than Lawrence.

If you're gonna ban him for being mentally unbalanced (or whatever PC term you choose) you might as well ban on others in his situation as well.

I'm surprised at you, Elvis.

I've asked about the whys and wherefores of his "banning".....are you trying to suggest otherwise?

:uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:
Sorry, misread your post. I read it as though you wanted him banned.

I was walking to the pub after the game and I saw Lawrence on the other side of the road. All of a sudden he saw a WW fan queued in traffic so he went up to the passenger side window and leaned through wishing the driver all the best and said he'd see him next year.

the shock / fear on the fan was a picture.

Mental illness is a awful illness where some people seem to think the victims are fair game for mocking.
I don't think Lawrence is doing any harm in the away end and should be allowed to stay there.

Go was going round in a full Croatia strip the other day when England were playing them. He's certainly an attention seeker.

The only thing that worries me with Lawrence is that one day he will meet the wrong person in the wrong place. He's no danger to anyone and keeps the town entertained.

Clearly he has mental issues and a huge attention deficit which he constantly strives to fill but each time I see him I do worry that one day some arsehole is going to give him a huge kicking.

Think I am in the minority here then when I say he is a fooking embarrasment, a disgrace to the town and I have to question the club on letting him in. On saturday when the Wycombe team were warming up he was cheering them, singing Wycombe songs stood there in his twin-set. Now I know he is 'disturbed' shall we say, but if I or any other Poolie were to do this we would be kicked out with question.

I have to ask if people were to be just a sympathetic when he's cheering a team that score in the last minute of some big game to win it.

Probably not his fault, he's doesn't have both oars in the water, but the club should act before there is an incident, either inside or outside the ground !

I have to also question the statement that he is no danger to anyone, whats the original home ban for?

Hartlepool does seem to spawn a fair number of odd cases; Lawrence, monkey hanging, Bresslaw's old mate and ridiculously sentenced canoe man (we should organise a protest against that sentence). What is it about Hartlepool? It's undoubtedly the most insular town I've ever been to.

Entirely agree. Average sentence for rape is just over 4 years. Attempted murder 3 years. Insurance fiddle - 6 years.

Mullet man!

Yes he did, i seen him buying 'Save the Last Dance' on dvd at the outdoor market a few weeks ago, never seen him as a fan of that type of film, good on him though.

I love his 80's coats and skinny jeans.

He's chip fireballs neighbour too.

Anyway, after an age he presented his purchases to the Gadgie....a Suzi Quatro single and a Glitter Band 45!!!!!!

Honestly, that bloke left at least 30-40 £25-30 valued UK singles in the box. They were all Mint as well. I snaffled them for about £3.

Thats when I cottoned on he wasn't quite right. And a Glam Rock fan.

Arnt a lot of the videos of Lawerence and divvy sharon been taken of youtube, (and possibly rightly so). What suprises me is that Lawrence isnt in a home etc, I hope the fella is getting some sort of support as people have said there are lots of idiots in the town and he is an easy target to get mugged or set upon.

He can't be, he goes in morrisons and tries to stack the shelves etc, he goes in the town every day in full ladies clobber.

A support worker would either a - advise him otherwise, or b - go out with him.

I agree completely. To laugh at other people is one thing but some of these videos on youtube go WAY too far. When you hear chavs goading people with the intention of shoving it on youtube and trying to humiliate them it is just not right.

So let's get this right...

You lass is related to Paul Daniels who is the father of mullet man and lawrence.

They don't even lookalike!

Maybe they are your birds brothers? Imagine having them over for christmas dinner?

Where does Robert Maxwell come into this?

It's very easy to mock the afflicted and to be honest, who hasn't at some stage?

It's not big though, neither is it clever and these things have a habit of coming back and chewing your arse.

I think the statistic is that 1 in 7 people in the UK will be, or are at some stage, suffering from mental illness. Could be you, could be your Mam. Be careful.
