Did you get to Sedgefield for the Strawbs on Saturday? We managed to get tickets in the end...was a pretty good night, esp Dave Lambert.
Singaround on Sunday was excellent too......there're some great local musicians over there.

I phoned to put our names down for cancellations, but never heard anymore, meant to give them a ring before the weekend to check, but never got a roundtuit(http://www.passco.com/tuit.htm)

We did go along to George Welch's Ukulele lesson on Saturday morning, very good. clappp

Well, you'll have to get along to the Sedgefield folk club, as well, lad. Aye, the singaround yesterday was grand, especially as John Wrightson sang 'Diary of a Northumberland Miner', but all the performers were exceptional.

I sometimes get to the Pot House, so might see you, but depends on whether I go to the Nursery on the Monday of that week. Can't be going thro to H'pool twice in a week or I'll end up needing a resident's permit.

One of, if not the last time we went to The Nursery, was to see Dave Cousins. He sang a lot of his songs, but the thought of him singing 'The Hangman and the Papist' still brings tears to my eyes.

I haven't worn a polo neck jumper for 30 years, and the beard is only a recent addition. Can't remember what we drank though.

The Teesside Fettlers used to be called the Teesside Fiddlers. But they changed their name because of the Cleveland child abuse scandal. FACT.

Roy Hill was supporting The Strawbs from 1978, after Dave Cousins had seen him performing on a TV kids programme.

I won't be able ter make it, sadly, as it sounds good.
(PS. Salty, I know you'll be pleased....I can nearly play Morrison's Jig on my violin
Trouble is, I've been nearly able to play it for 3 weeks and it isn't getting any better.......)

wouldn't mind that Billog, love the ukelele!!

The Wilsons were great last night, the Tesside Diddlers less so..........hate that stuart MacFarland with a pasion - gobby wanker

plus they have a new member in stan gee and I hate that faux yanky 'lovely lovely person' an all - he wouldn't sell me a guitar once because I couldn't play a scale! FFS! I only wanted to bash out some songs........

anyhoo, I bore a grudge against the twat and whenever I saw his adverts in somerfield or morrisons I nicked em! had a pile of about 200 of the things!!! basically I stalked him pinching his adverts........funny thing was he put the price down so much, if I could've been arsed to learn scales i could've bought 5 guitars for the price of the original one!
