It would have been an injustice for a team to score a great goal like Germany's second and not win a European final.

It's not many times that I'm proud of the performance of an England side that get heavily beat - but we could do nothing more than what we did tonight.

We showed true grit and determination, but Germany killed us off and ended the game as a contest.

Tonight was an excellent advert for women's football.

Tonight shows why Germany are European and World Champions.

An England side getting to a European final is a massive achievement and we can be rightfully proud.

I was proud of them tonight, they gave their all but it was not meant to be. Like you say that second goal was incredible and deserved to win the game.

im just really sad that the tournament is over now . I will have to work out what to watch next.

I think the ladies shoud hold their heads up high and they should at the very least get a topless bus tour around the country for us to show our appreciation. The ladies have brough great publicity to our country and other countries will see us as a force to be reckoned with after that.
