Looking back at your old posts Tree would be a bit too much like looking through a dictionary with just one word in for my taste ... you have created a benchmark for negativity, it didn't invent itself and now you're stuck with the title. Shame.

Never fails to amaze me that people are quite happy to oust the incumbent manager but NEVER, EVER come up with a replacement. What do we do?? Plant a Cooper tree on the training ground and pluck one off when it's ready?? :roll:

Fans have always shouted for managers heads, it goes with the territory. You can't please all of the people all of the time etc etc,

I think the reason people don't come up with a replacement is because they have no influence over who it will be.
Fans do suggest who they would like to see in the job, though.

Of course it's too early to sack the manager whoever it may be but looking back at Turners first spell in charge makes interesting reading . The year before we got promoted we were bottom in November . Gordon Watson's appearance coincided with a major change in fortunes and it could be argued that he was the one who turned things round .He also commented when Turner left for Sheff Wed that this bus didn't need a driver . Was this a veiled reference to Turner as the old boss or Newell as his replacement . If Watson hadn't come in that year would Turner have been sacked when we were bottom . In addition a number of new players were brought in at the start of that season and took time to gel .Let's hope for a repeat .

I concur Mr Derwent, but the fact that everyone does it doesn't make it right. The whole point (if there is one) of calling for the manager to be sacked is to replace him with someone who'll do better. It's like (sorry Mr Snowy) turning off your oxygen with no idea of how to turn it back on again.
