By all accounts though tigro, according to what I heard on the radio it was a great goal. Mark Simpson said it was one of the best goals he has scored since Peterborough away in 2003.
To be honest, I think if your like Nelson where you don't score too often, then i think he reason to celebrate it just a little.
To be honest, I was disappointed by a small section of so-called supporters who booed him when he had his fisrt touch.
Alright, I know his performances for us before he left were'nt that good, but if you don't get a great reception from fans of your former club after doing what he did, then well....
And as for some of the comments on here about wishing ill on him, that's just terrible in my opinion.

OK, I've just had a look at the comment Nelson made in the Mail about Brown.
Can anybody please explain to me why they are upset with what he said?
Because in terms of talking about Brown's future and long term career....I can't see anything wrong with what he is saying there.

Because he is inferring he should get out of a 'hole' like Hartlepool, like he has successfully done, and thereby also inferring he was glad to see the back of us.

On the other thread, nobody seemed to say how they thought those comments were making people angry. Everyone else who has commented on there has just made angry comments about Nelson.

yes but everyone else understood why Nelsons comments were clearly derogatory and shiit-stirring. They did not have to have it explained to them extra slowly in words of one syllable.

Could it be possible that those comments could have been misinterpreted just a little?

this quoted from the BBC website , shows you what a bounder he really is

You've just threw 6 years down the toilet, you played some blinders for us at times but screw yer that goes out the window now.
He clearly has no class, for class see Westwood, that guy who used to mop up your mistakes every week.

I agree, Yubep.

I assume by his words and his celebration that he thinks that, by scoring the goal, he's shoved it right up us. A less generous man than me would say one goal is a small price to pay for getting someone off the books whose "going through the motions" performances almost fooking relegated us.

Well, I don't believe that, because for one thing, even though his performances towards the end weren't his best, I still appreciate him because of everything that he did for the club.
For example,I have to say coming back from 3-1 down away from Peterborough to win 4-3 is probably the greatest comeback in our recent good history, if not the greatest, I know that would be debatable, but...

Bit uncalled for don't you think? Especially after what happened to one of your players a couple of years ago.
tigro wrote:yes it probably was in the heat of the moment, but it doesnt excuse him being a penis towards pools and fans who paid his wages for alot of years, cant help being pissed off about things like that as i love pools
Poolie of Kent wrote:I totally understand how you feel (I've felt like that before), Tigro, but as Teeside says, it wasn't right really to say something like that.
I'd have financed the training of a Japanese Kamikaze pilot and mortgaged the house to finance it, then gave him a photo of him with and without hair to avoid any errors and let him loose. I have no conscience.TeessideQuaker wrote:To be fair, wishing someone dead for scoring a goal is a little bit too far don't you think? It's only a game afterall, and it's only a job to the players.
