Now a badge kissing w******( well from 3pm) who doesnt care who he plays for as long as they offer him the most money. turns down a move from Villa for him, and it was only a few months ago he was saying he wanted to stay in the premeirship as he still had ambition to make the 2010 world Cup.

Yes right you'll do that in division 4 of the English League.

Yes, we would all go to whoever offered us the most money, but at 3pm the S*** that will come from Campbells mouth will make me puke. Unless he just turns round and says "I've come here because they offered me the most money"

In fact I wont puke I not going to watch the press conference.

His press conference will be worse than when he left Spurs for their arch enemies..........I bet that was money as well.

I take it back he not soon to be a badge kissing w****** he already is this just proves it more

He will state that he joined Notts Co for the 'challenge' of getting them into the "premier league". Im sure of it. Oh, and he will say that he jumped at the chance to work with Sven.

No doubt you have got that spot on.

But I reckon I'm still right , it has nothing to do with challenges etc, if it was he would have joined Villa tried to get them in champions league and tried to get to the world cup.

Oh Im not disagreeing, the REAL reason will of course be the money, all Im saying is that he will state that its because of the challenge and working with Sven.

lots of comments on 606 about this one bloke opinion on him joining villa,

"It isnt just for the money that he has gone, he will also be offered a coaching role, but although he is going to be demanding high wages he shall bring a few extra fans to the gate every week, notts county have a massive ground, and he shall help fill it, but like i said when sol decides to retire he will be able to fall back into a coaching role at the club, where as if he signed for someone like villa he would have played 2 seasons n then been looking for a job"

I would'nt knock back an offer of more money to do an easier job, given his age and all that.

I imagine he could have earned as much at a Premiership and a few Championship clubs, plus he'll be a multi millionaire already. Why risk being over the hill in the Premiership?

I don't imagine this is for the money, he's 34 it's a step onto the coaching ladder at an ambitious club club that looks highly likely to be very successful

He's signed a 5 yr playing contract, nothing else.

"I'm not motivated by money"..............................................Why am I not surprised at that quote from him, if it all about creating something, will he be on the same maximum wage as the previous high earner at Notts County. I'll have a guess and say NO.

Football is on its last legs, I have no problem with players earning good money but the amounts being banded about for his weekly wages for Division 4, is totally unacceptable.

Just out of interest can anyone tell me why Notts County will not have to face a football league investigation, for spending more than the % of their turnover on wages as division 4 teams have a wage cap limit.

Well we didn't have to, IOR just 'restructured' our finances ie. donated a sum of the money into the club to get around the rule. I'm sure Notts County are doing the same just on a much bigger scale.

I don't reckon there would too much complaining if the big man was signing for us.

He's joining an adventure. It may be for the money but its still an adventure nonetheless. I think he's taken an interesting move that most others would think were way below them.
We'd be ecstatic if we were signing the likes of Schmeical (?) and him.
Life can be so boring at times. Football is about dreams and Notts County fans are living theirs at the moment.
Stop being so glum and aggressive.
Hopefully they'll win the league and then come unstuck at our level - and we'll play them off the park on a memorable rain sodden evening at the Vic...
