I see that the Administrator on Rivals (you know, the bloke who allows gratuitous insults to pass unchecked on a regular basis) has removed a post by someone called turnandbounce. This was because this poster had the temerity to suggest Rivals might not be up-dated often enough.
The Administrator says he doesn't intend to discuss his decision or justify his actions.

I thought it was a reasonable question by my cricketing friend. Surely it only takes five minutes to do a few sentences before and after each game? But what would I know?

Speaking from experience, running a site like that (especially on your own) can be pretty time-consuming - one of the reasons I gave up Pools Online. The difference in part is though that I wasn't payed a bean for running it, while Rivals Admins tend to be paid a monthly fee and in turn are expected I think to put up something about every game and more besides. It's not a fortune, enough to pay for a broadband connection and a few bits and pieces I think, but it's there and with it goes responsibilities. Journos on the HM can't exactly say "I don't feel like writing something today, just leave yesterday's article in", but it seems that Rivals Admin is doing something a bit like that - and for a while seemed to be mainly grabbing content off other websites including press.

After a short while I soon gave up on writing reports on matches I'd not been to, but I always tried to get some sort of preview up - I even pre-prepared a couple to post up from Internet Cafes while I was away last autumn (the LDV Scunny preview for one) - but it needs a lot of commitment, and it looks like whover Rivals Admin is hasn't got a lot of it at the moment.....

Well said Albatross. It's been 72 hours since we played Shrewsbury and still no sign of a report. It doesn't have to be long, just that we drew! stupid

But the thing is, Rivals Admin has removed a post referring to the up dating. He's told me in the past that posts can be deleted only if they go against specific rules. I'd be very interested in hearing his justification for removing this one

I am sure when the rivals bloke was looking for someone to take over he said it was £250pm and you could also sell advertising space. I think that is a big enough fee to expect an up to date site.

But he has told turnandbounce he won't discuss this matter any further! Is he a schoolteacher perhaps? Who wants to read features? We just want up-to-date news.
