I wonder what the delay was? The squad will be down in MK now you'd have thought he'd have signed earlier in the week.

We have some experienced back up this season which makes a nice change, we just need a couple of players in those key areas now.

some comments to sift through when Northampton revealed their retained list. All seem to pretty much say that he was a decent player who was unlucky with injuries and never built up a head of steam

He has been brought in as backup.

Look at it this way, Financially we can only really expect to be able to have 14 players with enough quality to be regulars at league 1 level. Every other previous season our backups have been Conference level at best, this season however, they are at the very least league 2 quality.......hence they improve our strength and depth. He will prove to be an astute signing (in my opinion)

We do need more strength in depth. I know I keep saying it but we need to start signing players with some pace. From what the Northampton fans said about larkin, he sounds like another slow coach. Boydy, Behan, Larkin are all slow and pace is such an asset to have.

Turner seems to disagree and says he has enough pace to get in behind the defenders

I was not aware that CT had said that. I hope CT is right but I would sooner trust supporters who have seen him play many times. I dont think CT is the best judge of a player.
