We play MK next week as you know and you also know how Milton Keynes gained their league status. It's old news and frankly I could not care less about it. All this franchise Fc bolox - I'm not bothered in the slightest and I find the plastic support of Wimbledon completely tiresome.

If I dislike MK its because of their manager and nothing to do with Wimbledon. Most of us disliked Wimbledon FC and their bullying style of play so why all the crocodile tears over their loss of status? Sod them.

Lets have none of it on this board pleeeeasse!!

Hmmm

The man who refers to my favourite group as rubbish and constantly minds his gap in big letters would like no talk of the wombles, a team i used to watch with my old man when they were in the southern league and the team i travelled to Leeds to see in the FACup when Dickie Guy saved Peter Lorimar's Penalty at the end.

I'll give it some consideration.

Had some good memories of Plough Lane with my old man. He loved Wimbledon. He'd have been so proud when they lifted the FACup. He'd turn in his grave knowing what had become of them, and on that basis, I'm sad as to what has become of them.

To be fair Sarf, you have a reason for being interested and holding an opinion. The majority hve just jumped on the bandwagon.

Personally, they should have kicked them out the league. Milton Keynes did not earn the right to play league football. The FA has a lot to answer for

Martin Allen is a Tit full stop thats why i hate MKdons and like i said before lets all go pi$$ in the tees and see if he brags about swimmimng it again.

Mkdons play Lincoln on tuesday there games in hand so its even more important that we beat them on saturday as we can go level on points with them or still breathing down there necks depending on Tuesdays result.

I do like their away shirts though, Black with Marshall emblazoned across the front. How rock and roll is that. I won't include a picture as that may further inflame some people. Mind, I hope they lose 4-0 against us.

I think anyone who considers themselves a football fan is entitled to have an opinion of Wimbledon and MK Dons MR I sir - and use it.
Wimbledon epitomised a dream for many lower league clubs, despite their style of play.
What they have become epitomises something else.
I've got too many other things in life to care about so its hardly top of my agenda, but I do hope they plummet while the real Wimbledon rise.
Soz like

I've got a number of reasons for disliking those tosspots, everything about the club stinks if you ask me (including their new ground which doesn't have a pub anywhere near walking distance) and it epitomises how money is ruining football. I've never jumped on any bandwaggon either- I've hated them from the offset.

Wimbledon used to play horrible football, but they rose themselves from the darkest non league spots to FA Cup winners and held a regular Premier League spot throughout the 90's. Fair play to them I say. Perhaps if some of the locals had got off their arse once in a while then twatface Winkleman wouldn't have moved them 70 miles up for the road.

Their new ground is fucking huge......it'll be the death of them.

Money didn't ruin my dislike of Darlington though....Georgie's millions made me love the guy!

The reason I hate MKD is not that I care about Wimbledon, it's the fact that it could happen to any other club. We, thanks to the help of IOR over the years, are not likely to be in their situation, but thanks to HBC we could be. The Football League have set a precedent with them. Who knows what may happen to other league clubs in the future.

If it happens to us I'll care, until then its the law of the jungle. I care more about Horden CW that Wimbledon or MK Dons. I don't remember them rallying round when we looked like we were going to the wall.

The fact is that in the main the people of Wimbledon didn't give a shite until Sam sold the club, then it became fashionable to whinge about 'Franchising' they were a horrible club and a horrible team. Mind you, with Martin Allen in charge they're unlikely to be any different.

I completely agree with you. Especially about Martin Allen. I've always refused to give to any other teams 'bucket collections', especially Darlows, and even York, although I was tempted.

The only team I'm concerned with is Pools, but I do worry about the possibility of a 'Sugar Daddy' takeover, who moves us to a 'more convenient' location. Even the prospect of an influencial Shopping Mall builder moving us to his large estate, which is actually nearer to our home, would fill me with dread.

I do have my self-formed opinion on MK thanks, and liking or loathing the original Wimbledon FC has nothing to do with it.
The Donkeys are a plastic back-door-entering abortion of a club. Those other plastics Rushden and Diamonds actually WON their way into the league rather than getting there by backhand dealing.

As for the "Wimbledon were going bust anyway" and "their supporters couldn't be bothered" argument, what a load of bollocks. Other clubs have gone bust and/or been badly supported too and quite rightly lost their league status WHICH NO ONE HAS A DIVINE RIGHT TO. There are plenty of other teams who've been knocking at the league door for years who could take their place without being gazumped by an "I'll rescue your club but you won't recognise it afterwards" business shark.

And it clearly isn't the same club. The owners, fans (if such a term is appropriate), town, name, badge, and colours have all changed, so what's left?
I love the old broom analogy. "My previous broom to this one was fantastic; it lasted 30 years. Mind you it had 12 new heads and 16 new handles in that time."

In brief, yes I fookin' care and i hope they rot in hell.
