Turner has confirmed that we won't be signing Healy.

"We were very, very close to signing Colin Healy, who in our midfield would make a massive difference.

"He was a leader, he would have been captain material. But unfortunately, Ipswich have come in for him at a late stage and look like pipping us. It's a little bit annoying after we've tracked him for quite a while.

"Ipswich have lost a game at Cork and decided they need a midfield player. That's the sort of quality of player that we lack in the midfield area.

"Those players don't come along very often. We worked hard to get Colin Healy and we've tried for the last two months."

possibly. I wouldnt be suprised if he moved quickly for someone else. He knows he needs people in quickly in order for them to settle.

Apparently Keane also wants (amongst others) Ched Evans, Danny Simpson and Dean Whitehead. He is doing the same thing he did at Sunderland - panic buying. I hope it results in a similar outcome at Ipswich :!:

Snodgrass was meant to be close to signing for Hartlepool, who was quite an unknown quantity at the time. He'd turned others down and was to discuss personal terms until Leeds came in late on. Imagine if we'd have signed him.

The difference between success and failure is the players you end up signing compared to the players you intended to sign that got away.
