That looked bad and i could hear the crack and the screams from 2 pitches over.

It's a compound fracture of the tibia and was certainly a bad one like. Thanks to the air ambulance for getting there pretty quick and their handling of him.

I've just spoke to him at James Cook hospital and he's going down soon for an operation.

Aye, they couldn't really move him until the painkillers kicked in. Great job they did though.
