What do you think my chances will be, if I come along 9:30/10:00 ish, of seeing either the Lightning Seeds or Sean Lock? Or of even getting parked? Not to mention the rain, that's about to come down on us here 10 miles along the road, heading towards the Marina.

Sean Lock is the only "Ticket Only" event down the Marina, I believe.

You should see the Lightning Seeds though, If you wanna brave the rain thats inbound

well that was garbage
spent most of my time listenin to the radio!! what a crock of shit
it was extremely poor in terms of being a "festival" (thats what the fest means)
but alot of other people really seemed to enjoy it so fair enough!!
altho I think its because the majority were pissed
as for the lightening seeds, well three lions on a shirt is always gunna be fuckin awsome
but boy did they make you wait for it
"footballs coming home!!" everyone would chant, before they started playing a different song to dissapoint us all
plenty of scene kids trying to look cool, and meatheads embarrasing themselves through the medium of dance
but if its good for the town who the fuck am I to nay say
sneaking vodka past security is always fun where ever it goes down

Beer was 3.50 a pint and the queue was fucking stupid. You don't have to be Richard Branson to work out that if you have more staff working you'll sell a lot more and people will drink more. And the bar was shut before the end of the night. Not that I only went to get pissed!

Well I enjoyed it. A good night out with good weather. Couldn't really expect too much first time up but it would appear to have been a big success. So.... hopefully, next year, with it being the tall ships an all that, it might be bigger and better.

The comedy last night was great.

John Power was good. His bluesy stuff is alright - fairly standard - but I didn't know he'd do any of the Cast songs, which were damn good songs, imho.

The sound for the Lightning Seeds was diabolical. Couldn't hear the keyboards at any point, and for the Lightning Seeds that was always going to be a problem. The whole set sounded terrible and I think they were embarrassed. Plus the crowd, down the front anyway, was full of absolute nobs, and getting served at the bar was a nightmare.

Overall good though.
