Does anyone know of any good, achievable, affordable, likeley Goalies out there who might sign. I know we've joked but isn't it getting like at least 1 should have been identified/rumoured by now?
I seem to remember thinking Budtz, ALB they must be OK or something for the future because we have signed them, but ....next season ??

calm down! Turner said he wanted the squad to be complete by july 1st. I assume the holiday he is supposedly on is only a week long holiday so we should hopefully see 3 or 4 more players within the next 8 days or so. he has said already that this point of pre-season is the hardest to sign players as the are all on holiday or are weighing up offers from several clubs and are taking their time. Give it another week and if still no keeper then we can start to panic!!

When does pre-season training begin?

I remember in the promotion season of 03-04 Turner got the lads back a week to 2 weeks early, to try and combat our bad start, this helped and we we're top after a few months, i wonder if he will do this again?

To make up for it Newell gave them 2 weeks off for Xmas to go on the lash though.

Turner won't do it again, he hasn't got his eye on the Sheff Wed job anymore.

By the time we normally sort the squad out he probs would not have time for a holiday

Look out for Scott Flinders, released by Crystal Palace and seen at the Vic last week

Just read up a bit on Flinders 23 years old, 6'4", England under 20 international who Palace paid £1,000,000 for. On paper an improvement on what we've had for two years but that really wouldn't really take much would it?

Gordon Banks coming out of retirement would be better than what we have had, one eye and all

A dead fish (called Billy, probably) tied to a Subbuteo stick operated by an intoxicated patron of the Town End would be an improvement on those two clowns.
