To paraphrase the great man, ...' to watch women playing cricket, is like watching a dog walking on its back legs. it just doesn't seem right.

Are you suggesting that anyone who doesn't drop to their knees and accept the dismal PC mantra that all sports played by anyone are equally good...... and are you in some loony way implying that not accepting 'wimmins' cricket is racist, in the way nitpicking obsessives like yourself have of connecting totally unrelated events. What has that got to do with anything.

But's it's true. The worlds's changed and there is such a thing as women's cricket.

You've just got to learn that it exists.

Always like the jimmy carr joke about cat/dogs dancing on back legs.

Its like having sex with a hooker you pretend that they are enjoying it too.

I've got news for you, there's always been wimmins cricket and it was generally ignored, it was there, but no one really cared. However, the media in their usual way have discovered there's a few lookers in the current team and the Phwoar factor means that they'll get the publicity and the great uninformed like you will assume it's just been invented. I despair.

Oh and look, they play the final the same day as te proper stuff, thus ensuring a big crowd. Huge crowd. Unlike what it would have been like.

And now they tell us how popular it is.

Yeah, no one really cared.....until England won two world titles in the sport.

As for the media, there's been none of the Phowoar factor in anaything I've read, only an article about one of the players playing in an orchestra in her spare time.

Now the photos of the British beach volleyballers in the Mail on Sunday men's mag..now that was trying to tell people that there are in fact British women who play beach volleyball, but it was good publicity nonetheless. They've probably made the public more aware of the sport.

There was a full page in the Mirror, Sussex, along with a report and photo about Pakistan winning the men's competition.

and she looks like a 12 year old boy, she's a good bat, mind.

It's no real surprise that England women's team are the best, they are the only professional team in the world. Every time they play someone it's amateurs against pros (not prossies or hookers I mean professionals unless they bowl short I suppose they could be hookers but having seen the bowling their isn't anyone quick enough to bounce anyone- anyway I digress).

No doubt if any other country ever deems Women's cricket worthwhile enough to throw loads of cash at it and award central contracts they'll quickly become better than us.

The Mail On Sunday men's mag? I buy the MOS every week and I didn't know there was a men's mag in it, but then again I very rarely get around to even looking at the paper itself.

You'll find the only people who really cared were ..... ah yes, YOU! As for the 'phwoar factor' not featuring in anything you've read, the Peoples Friend and the Sunday Post, are pretty restrained when it comes to the 'phwoar factor', plus it helps if girls have a greater call on your attention than the TV schedules page.
As for beach volleyball, about as much a beach sport as sea-coaling.
