Gaunt Investigates.

First Information:
He has a kid, would he want to move his family to England is the question that is on my mind. I

But he likes English football and owns a Liverpool shirt.

He's meant to be a good prospect for the future and a move to England could allow him to progress up the leagues.

More to come. Molde fans are very quiet at the moment. It's 10.30 in Norway. They will be tired.

plays for Molde, is an attacking central midfielder, the question is why? surely we have plenty of attack minded central midfielders in Sweeney, Jones, Rowell etc

If he adds something a little bit extra to the squad then why not? If he carves open defences next season then I won't be complaining.

an thats fair enough but an attacking central midfielder shouldnt be high on our list, unless he is as good as Ronald O

The Aust Stå Boo Gutters (East Stand Boo Boys) have occassionally shouted abuse at him but do that to most players.

Personally I think its exactly what we need. This team has lacked pace, creativity and some skill in the middle for years now. No matter who we play we are always too slow and the likes of Sweeney and Jones add no pace. Yeah Sweeney aint slow but he cant carry the ball and aint involved enough. Towards the end of the season the only way we could score was to pass to Monky or Porter. We need someone central to create and cary the ball.

Damn! Why have we only just thought of that now. How come we didn't think of it before Kaka got snapped up.

The investigation continues, my Molde friends tell me:

"siden
Aksel Berget Skjølsvik got the title "player of the match" last game, dominating midfield and scored the winning goal.
I certainly hope he don't leave Molde, as I think of him as a man for the future MFK, as we still dream of more matches in Champions League."

As with Mange Hoseth I think it's too good to be true, but there's more of a chance because 1) He's young. 2) We can offer him the chance to play English football and it could be a stepping stone to progress up the leagues. Apart from that the chances are slim.

The investigation may continue.

How did you come up with this player, is he on the football rumours board getting linked to a move to Pools?

Seems a half decent player from the little I have found to read about him, keep up the good work Mr Gaunt

Molde is a huge town, possibly as many as 25K inhabitants! That makes it far bigger than Hartlepool then doesn't it.
Need I go on?
Norway doesn't even have a tenth of the population of England, let alone Britain.
They might have occasionally produced some very good players, but essentialy they are a tiny country (who might nonetheless have a HALF decent player to send us). Great.
Hey, maybe they're bankrolled by a Norwegian oil baron!

Norway is not the be-all and end-all of footbaling excellence. It's just very good for its size. Footballing-wise, it might be better per capita than Britain, but the fact remains it's an unlikely place to look for bargains.

I got someone to ask him if he's joining us the responce was :

"ja send meg kontraktsforslag!;)"

In English: "send me the contract offer!"

Which most probably means he's not joining us and it came out of the blue, Or if you want some hope it could mean he's waiting for the contract offer and the wink indicates that he might or he's been coy.

But I think it means he's NOT joining us. I could be wrong mind.

Or maybe he didn't ask him at all and it means "send us an offer quick and take the fookah off our hands!"
