I don't necessarily blame him for looking for a lucrative contract to see out his playing days but I think the Championship may be a step too far for him. If he struggled in League One last year then he will find it a lot tougher again at the next level...

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Monty. I would like to see him stay but I do think the club should give him a deadline and stick to it.
