The bottles of sauce are usually only about 30p an' all!

I still dont understand the differene between fritters, patties etc are. I think I once had something that seem to be just layered potato in batter and it was nice. Didnt taste like there was fissh in there but mates told me it was a fish fritter I believe?

Also when down in Plymouth they had never heard of scraps

and gave me a rather funny look.

They're great at loitering about behind the fryers, hoying a few buckets of chips in the fat every now and then, but its the bewers who do the majority of the work.

Whats a fish cake then. Cause a pattie round the collieries is two slices of tatie and fish in the middle. Fish cake is fish and mash mixed in batter. Savoury pattie is mix corned beef and mash in batter.

I cant get me head round why some of the towns chippies name fishcakes as patties.
