These three comments are very roughly translated:

Quote:
Hello, Magne Hoseth will never go from Molde in favor of a team in that it is English far down. League one is about Adecco (their second division) level. This is like Hoseth being sold to Notodden.

Quote:
I don't understand why that this club on the level it is is right for Magne Hoseth. Nor that the club has the resources to provide Molde with a decent offer. We have other players that will be played significantly more for this summer than Hoset. Hoseth will be an important as backup.

Quote:
That's fine - it Skjølsvik more chances. Hoset must have a more offensive role to bloom fully, and in the Molde forumation, the places to play offensive midfield are busy.

So basically he's down the pecking order in terms of starting. But they don't think we'll have the resources to buy him.

Personally, I'll be VERY suprised if we sign him.

the original rumour stemmed for Hartlepool Vital ffs, that shows how reliable the rumour is.

I think it stemmed from a Norweigen website and Vital spotted it on google news (at a really rough guess) and then reported that he'd been tipped to join us.

So it's not something Vital Hartlepool's plucked from thin air.

But I still don't think there's much hope of him signing.

I have a comment from a Molde fan in perfect English.

Quote:
Hello there!

I don`t think it would be very likely for Hoseth to join Pool. Hoseth was a backup in the beginning of the season, but has gotten a lot of playingtime due to injury of another. Hoseth has played well, and has shown an increased form. In fact one of Moldes better players last matches. I seriously doubt that Hoseth would give up playing for medals in Norways top league, for league one in PL. Not to be rude, but it sounds a bit like a joke/fake rumour.

Another point against him joining us, he got homesick for the fjords when he was just down the road in Denmark so why would he want to join a club a long way from his home.

Investigation Continues.

The rumour came from a Danish newspaper. The Molde fans think it's their way of making their club seem small.

Also I found this comment interesting:
"He is struggling with the time in Molde, and has hinted that he is a desire for a new trip abroad, although he refused from a Russian club, really quite interesting"

Although, whether he is struggling with Molde remains a mystery as he forced his way into their starting 11 and was captain for a few games while their main captain was injured.

Anyway, then the thread (http://vgd.no/sport/fotball-norsk/tema/ ... h-til-pool) desended into chaos and people calling each other spotty teenagers and arguing.

And when translated an article quotes Turner as saying....

" It is true that we've had a couple of aliens under the microscope in recent weeks. "

Aliens?

The conclusion of my investigation is this:

1) The original article had the facts wrong. It say Hoseth was a reserve for Molde. This is not the case. He was on the bench early on but this was only because he was recovering from a injury. This makes me believe that the article is unreliable.
2) He does want to play abroad. But does he want to play for Hartlepool? I doubt it.
3) He is probably too good to play for Hartlepool.
4) Rumours, rumours, rumours, I love em. :uhoh:

what gets me is why some Danish website would have a rumour involving a league 1 english club, unless there is some truth to the rumour. I doubt we will be lucky enough to get someone of his apparent quality, however we have had players like Beardsley, Pedersen & Watson, BIG name players for our level, so i wouldn't put it past us.

It seems we'll grasp at any straw at times when it comes to players names, I know I do  , but if we get the two fullbacks and decent GK signed this week, I'll be delighted as we'll already have improved significantly on last seasons squad.

If we sign any additional quality player in the remaining few weeks (a Jan Ove or Gordon Watson type perhaps) as Turner has alluded to, then we will deserve to feel well pleased the efforts.

I feel we will see some players in very soon.

I think the main question here, which everyone is overlooking here is...

Has turner found aliens?

And also this Brazilian forward we're rumoured to be interested in:

At a complete guess, they say it could be Santos Da Costa or Tromsø's Adriano.

So if you wanna make a rumour out of that, please feel free.

Both articles sound quite confident. We have been missing a good, pacy, creative attacking midfielder for ages.

He certainly looks the part of the youtube clips although not quite sure what he was up against?

i doubt we will get him. However if we did then we would have boland, sweeney, jones, liddle, power all vying for 2 spots, not bad at all !

True although think Rowell is ahead of Power now. A fit Boland holding and running the game like he did early last season and this Hoseth having license to attack..... clappp Monkhouse and Brown on wings and Boyd and new striker up front   rage clappp rolf
