Just heard on the radio that Nelsons agent has said he won't be signing a new contract at Pools and there are at least three League One clubs after his signature. I know he had an indifferent season by his standards but he would be a sad loss in my opinion...

Unfortunately if they aren't committed to the cause and don't want to be here it is better that they go, and go quickly so as a suitable replacement can be found before pre-season starts.

According to the mail the clubs he's talking to are Colchester, Norwich and Brighton  Is this the same player who had to come back to the north east from Bury because he was so homesick stpid stpid

Still, good luck to him, both he and Pools need to freshen things up

Hartley has only made about a dozen league appearances (for Chesterfield) so I can't see how he can be a straight replacement for an experienced player like Nelson...

I am foookin sick of Pools going through this shit with Nelson................AGAIN.

Have pools offered him a contract?

Has he turned it down?

He is looking at offers from other clubs.....rivals to us in league one?

If the answer to all three questions is Yes...............then foook off Nelson.

You should have gone when you went on strike a few years back.

Next. rage

I'd agree if that had actually happened

Cooper took him out of team for a few weeks because his head wasn't right after his agent stirred up some shite regarding his contract. It appears all these noises again are coming from the agent.

He might go but he's served us well for six seasons and he'd go with my best wishes, he may just need a fresh challenge.

Nelson's Agent is a damned bounder.. FACT

We've Collins and the option of Clark as well ..IMO a FAR superior centre back than Nelson anyway. Also the Hartley

If Nelson thinks he's too good for Pools and wants to go then he can welcome to the board with my blessing..Apart from two or three games last season he was shite anyways...

i havent seen hartley but he cant be any worse than nelson and collins were for much of the season.

I agree. He can feck off imo. He has not developed as we hoped he would. In fact I would say he is poorer now than he was when we signed him. He can go disappear up his agents crack

He has been the weak link for 2 seasons now and if he wants away just let him go.

I would be extremely worried if we went into the new season with Nelson & Collins as our first choice central partnership.

For me they are too similar, I think either of them would look a better player with a more mobile defender alongside them.

I don't care which one leaves, but we need a new central defender in there. I'd gamble with Hartley as we've always got Ben Clark as a back up.

Hopefully Pools have given him a deadline to sign the new contract or welcome to the board.

There was a far weaker one to his left.

maybe so, but at least he was out of position, Nelson was in his preferred one and has still been pretty shoite

This situation has a previous similiar one. A player offered a contract by Pools' and the player not signing, seeming to hang on for better conditions and in the end just being told to go.

Jim Provett being the case, I cant see IOR dealing with situation in any other way, Nelson will have to sign or he will simply be allowed to go.

The club goes on, players leave so if he doesn't come to a decision soon then I can see the club retracting any contract offer.

Colchester, Norwich and Brighton aren't the otherside of the world, but if he wanted to be back in the North East from Bury, then those three may as well be.

Totally again HUFC Poolie. It's time to move on for both parties.

I'd agree he hasn't been great but steady on.

Can I remind you of a Danish chap with cocks for fingers, a hologram, no full backs, a 19 year old from Liverpool who's pre match meal appeared to be space cake, and a £75,000 signing from Hull who is the same player as Nelson (but slower and more gaff prone).

But Nelson has been 'the' weak link, really!?

I'd say it's no fooking wonder his form hasn't been consistent.

i agree with pj,maybe with a decent goalie non of nelse mistakes would have resulted in goals, and therefore would have probably gone unnoticed it's just that the past 2 seasons the goalies have'nt been world beaters have they?

He might have been even better if we'd have done something absurd for the last two years, now this might sound radged, but you know we could have even....

PLAYED BEN CLARK AT CENTRE BACK!!!!!!!

I know I'm one crazy fooker

What the fook was Wilson thinking siging Antwi? In hindsight what was that all about? Our promotion was built on our defence. What did Danny boy do?

He retired Barron, he didn't replace Dimi, he dropped Ben Clark, oh yes and he signed Robbie Elliott. The first game after a season were we kept 23 clean sheets our back five at Luton had gone from; Dimi, Barron, Humphreys, Nelson, Clark to ALB, McCunnie, Robbie Bastad Elliott, Godwin fooking Antwi, Micheal escape goat Nelson. Are you telling me Barron was more past it than Robbie Elliott?

Basically what I'm trying to say is; I blame Wilson.

What a load of shite, coming from the person who rates Humphreys as a defender

Antwi was blamed (wrongfully) for bad mistakes even when he wasn't making them, he was alongside Nelson who was making the mistakes but because Antwi wasn't one of "the boys" and only a new arrival at the club, he took the flak!

Anyway, he got dropped and lo and behold....we were still shit at the back!!!!...can you believe it?....Antwi not playing and we aren't watertight in defence!!

I can believe it, because certain Pools fans only see what they want to when it comes to certain players and so-called "club legends" like Nelson and Humphreys.

Remember everyone asking for Clark and Nelson to be played together because Antwi was that shite?

Remember Clark and Nelson against Cheltenham at home when they beat us 2-0 and Nelson and Clark were the 2 worst players on the pitch?

It would seem that the days when Nelse executed a wonderfully timed sliding tackle, emerging with the ball and finding an attacking midfielder leaving the opposition in dissaray are gone.

Shit happens, move on. confised

Find one example of me saying I rate Humphreys as a defender? Given in the post you've quoted I've actually said we haven't had any full backs for two years!! So much for fooking rolfl That just makes you look one eyed and a bit well, daft.

As for Antwi, what are you on about? Do you remember the home game where he was moved three times in the first half as he was having one of the worst nightmares I've ever seen from a Pools player? Was it Nelson heading the ball straight up in the air and wandering about as if he was blaked? I didn't mind the lad but come on are you honestly trying to suggest he was up to playing league one week in and week out? He was a kid, not what we needed when we already had a perfectly adequate centre back pairing.

Nelson has been poor for two years, he must take blame for that I am just offering reasons why his form has dipped, the chaos around him can't have helped. Maybe he needs an organiser and talker at the back that we haven't had since Barron retired? Another factor to be considered.

I look forward to my points being dismissed as 'a load of shite' based on something that isn't even true again
