I used the service for the first time at the weekend. The journey takes just over 3 hours each way and it cost me £71 for me and my 2 kids (with my railcard). The service was excellent both ways even if it was full of chelsea and sunderland fans on the way up

With lots of trips into the capital next season, any regular National Express users may want to keep it in mind.

I remember when we played down at Orient last season. Given we where in the smoke and Sunderland where at Chelski the last train departed before full time stpid So we all had to use National Express!

I have heard some bad reports as well, not as much the service itself more the reliability.

I have been unsure previously due to bad press/comments on here but I am definately going to give it a go for a home game next season. I can get into Hartlepool for 11.30 and the train out is just after 6. I just hope they don't let me down.

Not sure of the times back from Kings Cross, but I know they are looking at adding more services. I know no one wants to miss a pools game but if the service isn't supported, it will get pulled. I was pleasantly surprised at how many people got on (and off at hartlepool).

I'm still barred out sadly so it wasn't me! Did you get that paving slab sorted in your back garden that stopped you going to Bristol?!

I've been using it twice a week for about 8 months now, a vastly improved and still improving service and have absolutely no real complaints as it is significantly cheaper than national express.

There is an additional train due to be running in July sometime, supposedly an 8pm departure from kings X

jackpot!! They'd make a bomb from Mackems and Poolies going to the smoke - a lot of folk can't be arsed with the hassle of going to Darlo so don't even bother!!! If they had any business sense they'd realise the football market is a potential bonanza for them
