Mail price rise

THE Hartlepool Mail has gone up by 2p from today – this is the first price increase since early last year.

This rise is due to increased production costs, which includes a 20 per cent rise in newsprint.

We hope you will agree that for the latest Hartlepool and east Durham news, sport, features, advertising and promotions, the Mail remains good value at 42p.

yeah what fooking good value.

Just imagine there really was no Mail we'd all be reading the Gazette (well I wouldn't), but it does desperately need to sort itself out and try bveing a local paper again with some news and stop being the evening paper that appears to think life in this town consists of articles on Court cases and the sort of people you couldn't really give a toss about, ever.

stopped buying it when they moved everything to sunderland and it became a pale imitation of its former self.
when a final edition is printed by 10.30am it contains yesterdays news

I always....always got The Mail every night without fail and was gutted if I missed it....had to ask neighbours for their copy....but now I'm not bothered in the slightest if I miss it!!!! confised

And even when I do get it....it takes me about 2 minutes to go through it!!!! confised

And me or our lass....who happens to 'read' it first....always says....'Nothing in there again'!!!! confised

It certainly has went downhill....and I also think like someone above said....it started when the printing moved out of town and no 2nd edition!!!! confised

i stopped buying it and a morning paper a couple of year ago put the money in a jar and i am well on the way to my next season ticket clappp
