A perfect ambassador for the Club, should take his rightful place amongst HUFC legends, I still remember the first goal h ever scored in the 1-0 win over Burton Albion in the 2nd Round live on BBC under Cooper that took us to Sunderland.

You'd have at least thought his departure would have been mooted, not even any suggestion of it, most things normally end up on the rumour mill not this one obviously. I'm in deep shock, I mean even actually hearing him say "I've signed a three year deal with Gold Coast" at the centenary dinner hasn't quite prepared me for this.

Sadly not - their sesaon starts on 8 August rage

But I have a cunning plan. Its £66 million on the Euro Lottery this evening so I've bought a ticket and when I win the jackpot I'll make sure Joel wants to stay. Where's that Baldrick gone he said it was a good idea ..... :laugh:

He is truly one of the best Pools players ever. Consistently cut it at the highest level we've played at.

Good luck to him. If the rumours are true about him not being allowed to go home at the end of last season, then he is a true professional. Many players would have tossed about in the reserves to see their last year out, but he has been a diamond in a shitpile this term.

you know how us younger ones have heard the stories about how great Pythian was without ever seeing him play, well when i'm taking my kids & grand kids to watch Pools i'm going to regale them with stories of an Australian player that emerged from no where, showed unbelievable touch & vision and became a legend, nay, THE LEGEND that defined how good of a club we had become.

First scorer would be great. Hopefully he wont take a penalty if we get one, it would be awful if he missed on his final game. What a big game for his last home match though! Big crowd and atmosphere (and something to play for)

I can't think of a more enjoyable Pools player that I've ever watched.

His form in the Cardiff season was unbelievable, he was unstoppable. An extremely friendly guy when I've spoke to him too.
