Cardiff City will leave Ninian Park on Saturday after their game against Ipswich after 99 years there.

Can't believe the Pope once gave a mass at Ninian Park in 1982, according to BBC.

I can't understand really why they are building a 26, 500 seater stadium when, if they have Premiership aspirations such as they do, they've got the 70,000 seater Millennium...although I know that's a national stadium.

always an intimidating place to go for both fans and players although more for players nowadays when they get bigger gates. I used to watch pools there in front of 4,000 fans. I reckon (and hope) they will struggle in the new stadium next year.

The only ground I have ever got jumped on and beat to shit and this was at 1 O'clock in the afternoon, I hope they bomb the place when it's full of Cardiff fans.

Aye, from the Grandads with kids anarl.

Me & Obafemi were staying in Cardiff that weekend & had to walk about a mile to get picked up after the game. We never exchanged a word....

I wanted to get them there in the cup this season, a last chance to beat the swines! I went to the last 6 Pools games there and the best we ever managed was a draw. Worst was the game we went 2-1 up in the last minute and still got beat 3-2

Never a nice crowd there, always a quick, silent walk back to the car/town centre. Caught the packed Cityline train back from Ninian once with a mate from the Rhondda - he did the talking...

Couple of year's back, a Saturday morning, there's a knock on the door. My nipper's mate from next door has got a spare ticket to see City, does he want to go. Nipper stood at door in Pools shirt says - "Nah, No thanks". The joys of fatherhood.
