If Northampton lose they would need 5 points from their final 3 games to finish above us providing we lose both. 2 of them are against MK Dons and Leeds, other one is Hereford which you'd expect them not to lose. We really could do with them losing tonight as they would only be 2 points behind us with a spare game. 5 points to make up would be a lot harder than 2.

I'd expect Yeovil to beat Hereford tonight too. I'd be happy with a draw though.

Brighton lose and they need to win both in the last two games and we need to lose both.

It's an important night.

Leeds need a point to qualify for the play offs.

We need at least a point to mathematically secure or League One status.

This could be the most predictable draw since Swindon Town 1 Hartlepool United 1 in 2004 when both got the point they needed to get in the playoffs. So predictable a draw even Derek McGovern in the Mirror toldeveryone to put their house on it being a draw.

Having said that games against Leeds have been close affairs this season, they are too long-ball merchants for my liking and it would be a nice leaving present for the fans from Joel if he were t be on top form in what is most lkely his last ever Hartlepool United game at the Vic.

The most predictable result is an away win - they have quick forwards and we have slow defenders.

We live in hope though - I'd be happy with a point.

Yes, particularly that close 4-1 trouncing we got at Elland Road.

A Leedsy from here told me they considered themselves lucky to win that game!

Exactly, that Leeds game just about helps to sum up what's been happening to us at times this season: played really well against some really great teams and didn't get punished for it.

I think half the reason why we've tying o fight off relegation is because we've been unlucky most of the time with results (as well as some poor performances), it's such a topsy-turvy devision, anybody beats anybody, you luck goes against you for more than one game and you slip down.

One question: Did anybody expect of all the teams in this division, Northampton, to be on the brink of relegation after they beat us and seemingly were getting results worthy of a top-half finish ?

You not doing English at Uni then.

Played really well against some great teams and didnt get punished for it..... We did we lost, or we didnt punish them when we played well, which is it but sentence is incorrect

a topsy turvy devision , can you tell me what a devision is

you luck goes against you

tying o fight off relegation

And please explain this one we've been unlucky most of the times with results (and some poor performances), think you'll find we've had as many if not more poor performances than unlucky results. But on your couple of live Pool's performances it may be the way you've put it. But it definetely the way I've put it. We're in the position we are because of too many poor performances, which I can name and that from a board optimist.
