This was mine. It was so cold that I couldn't bend my legs and Joe Allon was playing in a pair of Reebok Classics!

I remember this because this was my FIRST EVER 'Pools game, the very first game of the 1994/1995 season, let alone first 'Pools away game. I was only 4 or 5, sat on of my relative's laps as most of my Dad's family who originally lived in Hartlepool came to atch, even my uncle who lived in New Zealand at that time was home in the UK.

http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/itmc_view_match.asp?oid=3598

It is also memorable because I think my cousin Mr TPP was the Hartlepool mascot at Priestfield that day.

It was definitely when Brian Honour was captain that Mr TPP was mascot for that game.

I'm sure there's an embarassingly old photo of my cousin in his kit taken with the two captains, the other mascot and the match officials.

I've just discovered that this was my first ever Pools game, I always thought in was this http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/ ... p?oid=3322 but it was two months after the Rotherham away game :uhoh: I remember Rob Mckinnons goal from the Burnley game but very little about the Rotherham away game apart from us sitting in the main stand because of me only being a nipper and my grandad slagging off Tony McAndrew all game, I mean properly calling him worse than shite, at the end the bloke who was sat next to us introduced himself to my Grandad as McAndrews father rolfl

My first away game was at Swansea when Pools won promotion in '68!  :coool:

Was it buggery. I was at the home game against them a few days later like.

This was mine...

http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/itmc_view_match.asp?oid=3237

I was 10.

I remember listening to Once Upon A Long Ago by Paul McCartney and Letter From America by The Proclaimers on the radio on the way there. Great days!

This was my first ever match. Stood in the Rink End with my dad. It had no roof at the time but I recall it being sunny!

http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/itmc_view_match.asp?oid=3111

I was 8

I am fairly sure that this was mine, I remember just about everyone getting searched on the way in but we didn't, maybe because I was only a youngun at the time and the coppers didn't expect us to cause any trouble.

http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/itmc_view_match.asp?oid=3490

I have been to Rotherham twice now and not seen any goals, a bit different to Peterborough where I have seen 15 goals in 2 games

This was my first away match. I'd only been supporting Pools for 9 years by then. I was doing my squarebashing training just down the road at RAF Swinderby. All I remember about the match was that the ground at Sincil Bank seemed to be made completely of advertising hoardings. Not sure how true a reflection of the Lincoln ground that memory is!

Yup. We were. Les Mutrie scored, it was the day I got my Escort Mk2, night match.

Pools fans in the Tin Shed, fighting with Police Dogs.

Poor old Les was taking some sort of medication and didn't even know he'd scored. My mate Bryan Liddle was playing at the time, he told me the conversation upon Les seeing the near-riot went something like..

"What have I done?"
rolfl clappp rolfl clappp

Its like that lower league scotish teams manager (cant remember which) when told his forward had concusion on the pitch and couldnt remember who he was, the managers reply was priceless "tell him he is Pele then he might score a goal"

Darlo was my second same season.

Bit of a brain-challenger this thread. I only remembered it because it was the Easter weekend:-

http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/ ... p?oid=2088

I can't recall another away game until Easter Monday 1968, an evening match I recall:-
