Longer than that. My parents lived in harwood street for over 40yrs. They moved to a bungalow in throston grange around 3yrs ago. Lived in harwood street all my life until i moved away. Great times had as a kid

There were a lot of pre-war council houses in those streets, similar in style to old West View or Raby Gardens.
I hated them. There was something intrinsically nasty about them.

Longer than 3 years too.... my mam has lived in her house for 4 years and she was one of the last out of Marston Gardens. We lived there for 21 years quality times in that street! oooooh harwood.... rough

they knocked them down early last year and started building last summer

According to my mother it was 2 years ago.....

Is that the Chester that's still standing? I only went in there a couple of times but I remember they had a "test your reflexes" machine that gave you a (very vague, admittedly) idea whether you were fit to drive or not. The thing is none of the customers had cars in those days.

Aye, but it was only brought to make things better, but....what have they done??? made a mud patch... got a few houses built on Chester Road.... thats it.

With all due respect it's all go on that site at the moment, and when it's finished the new estate will be a vast improvement to the area. It already is to be honest, plenty of progress has been made in the last couple of months.

I think you have answered your own question in that statement

£200,000 cheaper than £170,000 and I'd consider the move.

If Mutley and I were regulars it'd be a good start to get the tills going.
