Typical Mag publicity stunt at this point of the season. In order to ensure season ticket and shirt sales for the next season, regardless of how badly they are doing, they must either sign a big name, but slightly past his best player (totally overlooking the fact that the rest of their squad is shite), or allude to the return of Keegan or Shearer. The supporters are brainless chunts to a man, and cannot see that they have been falling for this same stunt for over a decade now.

As usual, the national press will be swarming round there tomorrow. There'll be queues round the block of people getting 'Shearer 9' printed onto shirts and interviews with rent-a-quote Geordies all over the news tomorrow night.

The greatest moment in world history is now before us with the coming of the true Messiah, those not there to see it, will think themselves cursed they were not there, the church bells will ring out in joyous unison as mothers with their infants in arms flock for their child to just be in the radiant glow of the one true Messiah, the irresistable force that is .... SHEARER He is amongst us, all kneel and bow to the great one .... I really do hope they fookin go down now. rolfl

I really hope this is an April Fool, just to see the look on their little faces.
