Post subject: Abuse of players and some of our so called "support"
PostPosted: Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:29 pm
Readers of this board over the past few months have seen a few "supporters" on this board who constantly abuse players, loads of quotes of bounders, tw@ts etc etc, these players, OUR PLAYERS, real people with feelings by the way, some of these "supporters" should maybe consider this......

Maybe players read this board, maybe some regularly, they see themselves getting slagged off and abused all the time and yet none of you know them personally.

Why on earth should these players who are being abused actually care about our team or club when they are not appreciated or supported in any way.

Maybe they don't actually give a sh*t because of some of our so called supporters attitudes toward them. This abuse is hardly going to make them put the extra bit off effort in to stop getting relegated and maybe us getting relegated is the abused players having the last laugh.

If it happened to me at my place of work from people who are supposed to support me I don't think I would give a fook.

Can i come to some of the members of this boards place of work and hurl personal abuse at you even though I don't know you?

Pools have and have always had a horrible element of support who revel in personal abuse toward some of our players. Just ask Steve Howard and Jermaine Easter who amongst others over the years were crucified as Pools players by some of our own support and yet strangely were better players and regular goalscorers when leaving The Vic.

Some of our "supporters" make me sick. Have a look at yourselves. Some of you deserve relegation.

We are all hurting right now and all we can do is get behind the players who pull on that white shirt for the rest of the season. They are all we have at this moment in time and all we will have until May.

Once the season is finished and our fate is decided one way or the other then start the disection and blame laying, until then get behind them. After the final whistle at Bristol Rovers say what you want and blame whoever you want. It doesn't help us now.

Fook it. Rant over and I'm going to bed. rage

By the way, feel free to direct personal abuse at me for the above rant. I'm expecting it from a few anyway.

Maybe they read the fact some of us questioned their lack of bottle and thus responded tonight?

You missed out Neil Aspin in that mini list. he got a bit - actually a lot - of personal abuse.

...or the flip side is that the suporters can see that a number of the players (not all of them) dont give a sh*t whether we get relegated or not and as a result we have 'attitudes' towards them.

A great post. But I think you are wrong.

This set of players should not be down there at the bottom. So why are we?

The players get plenty of support. And I am sure those mental loyal bunch of lads that go to every away game give them great support.

The fact is....these players dont respond.

If they were shite players but played with 100% commitment and belief, no one would be moaning at them.

They arent though. They are weakest bunch of players mentally I can ever remember pools having.

They cant win away when the other team has more fans, we cant concentrate for long periods so always concede at home.

I dont need to abuse the keeper, he doesnt need abuse. He needs a rest. About 3 years should do it.

To say our fans deserve relegation is just pathetic. Did you notice how many empty seats there were at Manure whne Liverpool hammered them?

Our fans are the same as any fans at any club.

If we get relegated, its the players fault, not the fans on a message board.

All of us know we have more ability in this team than our league position suggests, and thats why we are pissed off with the players.

And personally I am pissed off with the club as well. The lack of team investment at the start of our centenary season was a foookin disgrace.

But the above is just my opinion..........as is yours.

Good post Aberdeen and a fair point , but the reason we struggle I believe is because as supporters we sometimes dont question the club enough, constructive criticism mind you, not abuse, the sort I give and get abuse for. A lot of the so called nasty element supported the club through the very lean years, in the days when you rarely knew the players, a lot of the supporters on this board wine and dine and brown nose players and officials of the club so their are conflicts of interest you never used to get. There is a genuine fear as far as I am concerned that we are in decline ( have been for 5 years) and that we could end up going bust or in the conference. Personally I always try to be positive but sometimes its difficult with pools ( take last night , keeper sent off so early, its typical of us). I cant believe supporters abusive or blind loyal pay their money and dont care , that is as ludicrous as saying the players dont care, though in the case of the players , there have been examples in the past of players going through the motions.

Well said ADG, the centenary! just a series of p*ss ups, nothing for the fans except a tournament which was a monumental disaster, where is the centenary book? centenary merchandise etc. The club has been cutting back for years, only investing in things that rake the money such as snack bars etc, no problem with that as it could generate revenue for players (even though none were bought) but not at the expense of the finer points.

George Soros eat your heart out

How the fook do 'snack bars' rake the money in

Selling half-cooked burgers at £2 a pop is hardly going to see Mcdonalds out of business now is it

Writing off a million pound a year doesn't count does it Ronnie, does it?

I'm a fan and I very much enjoyed the centenary dinner at the Borough Hall the other week.

You're cocknocker who just likes a good whinge.
