I'm expecting it, but a wave of disbelief will shortly hit Britain.

TV will show transport ground to a halt with hundreds injured in hospitals and frightened people sheltering at home.

Not Al-Qaeda extremists or suicide bombers, but snow. If unlucky we will get 2" of the stuff, with 6" drifts enough to cover your ankles.

The Government should do something about it, because it happens every year!

How come other countries can cope with much more snow than we get....but we get a couple of flakes and the country grinds to a halt!!!!



With the life sentence for murder standing at an average of only years, why has a man recently been sentenced to 30 years for attempted murder?

Wouldn't have anything to do with the attempted murder victim being a police woman, would it?

Surely the Judge isn't suggesting a police life is more valuable than anyone else's. If he is, then that is a disgrace!

Maybe they get a lot more snow than Britain does do.
In France there can be six metres of snow in the east and nobody bats an eyelid.
Yet the one time it snowed in the four years I've been in the south, just barely enough to make the ground white, the airport was closed down for two whole days.

They're not going to invest megabucks in snow clearing equipment in regions where there might be only two or three minor snow falls in a year.
