I agree that Turner isn't man for the job, I said so when he was appointed. But to throw young players into the cauldron of a relegation fight(your words not mine) is a non starter as far as I'm concerned, what good will geting beat do their confidence.

We need the experienced pro's to stand up and be counted, they looking at 2 relegations in 4 seasons on their CV's. That should make them fight for the shirt, time to make sure their PRIDE IS MAINTAINED.

It certainly wasn't present today, none of them can have any pride in their performance today.

Turner may not be the man for the job, but who is?

who else could this bunch of gutless spineless faggots to play like they care?

I have been saying it for weeks now. We have too many players out with little niggles. Those little niggles show me these players dont care.

Our players just arent desperate enough to play for us.

Then maybe they're desperate not to play for us, eh?

"turner may not be the man but who is"? There are dozens of promising young coaches and managers out there yearning for a chance to take charge of a league club. The trouble is don't expect Hodcroft to appoint one. sadx

turner and newell never had a football league experience in management and we give them the job , so don't see why we won't give these promising young managers a chance

Oldham have just sacked their manager today, must be the Budtz effect, he didn't do too bad for them.

Chris Turner had some previous league management experience as he'd been joint manager with John Sitton at Leyton Orient.

Here's my fourpence worth for what its worth.
Some, or even most of the players seem incapable of either motivating themselves or being motivated by management, unless it suites them.
I think they look forwards and see that they have nothing to win, and look backwards and THINK that they probably have nothing to lose - I hope.

When playing so called lesser teams (I use the word teams rather than clubs as its more respectfull) they look inept and unmotivated. Yet when they play so called better teams, they appear to find the pride and motivation to go out and do the job.

The conclusion that I draw from this is that they are playing for themselves and their wages and NOT the Club and fans. Yes they claim to be for Club and fans in their Hartlepool Fail interviews, but is it no more than paying lip service?

OK, I spent the whole of my working life working for wages, so I can't argue with that - but I also gave the companies that I worked for my loyalty, lets be honest, footballing is not a job like any other is it? Lots of folk are pinning lot of hopes on them.

So I think the problem with a lot of the team is not only motivation its dedication, or rather a lack of it.

I think blaming all this on the management is very harsh. Its the players that need to look at themselves in the mirror and if they asked them selves have they given there all this season, i bet only about 1 or 2 could truthfully say yes......if that many.
Turner & West can only do so much in preparing them for games but as soon as the players step over the white line, its down to them to give there all and put in a performance for this club which they are not doing. We need a massive clear out in the summer as Turner has inherited a poor squad so can only do his best with what he has to work with. He has brought in some decent loan signings so hopefully there is more to come in the summer with some of gutless excuses for players that we have now leaving.

I think we need to get to the end of the season and if its Turner or West or whoever in charge next season then we need to judge them when they have had time to work with a squad they have put together and not inherited!

collins only came back in because we needed to put clark in midfield As we dont have a decent defensive midfielder. Agree with budtz

for me our team should be

budtz
sweeney
nelson
collins
liddle
jones
clark
rowell
monkey
porter
parker

Has Rowell already played right wing?

He started on the right against Hereford.

He also played on the right wing against Huddersfield where he was outstanding.

Turner's refusal to play him is starting to wind me up, the same way that Ben Clark not being centre-back winds me up (this lad has massive underperformed over the last couple of months in midfield) and Turner's other masterstrokes like Mackay out wide and Liddle at right back when the problem is clearly on the left. I used to be a Turner fan but can't say I am anymore and I think he is being found out massively, the solutions are glaring him in the face but he seems as stupid as the previous guy at the helm.
