yes been twice thoroughly enjoyed both holidays
stayed at port el kantoui in the adult only royal kenz
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Revi ... taoui.html
and the family friendly hotel kanta
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Revi ... taoui.html
both are excellent and the tunisian dinar is a closed currency so still good value

In all seriousness; every country in the world is interesting if you find out a bit about it before you go there. Doing a bit of research enhances any trip.

I've been, I found it a bit like Blackpool with Arabs. There is the bazaar where some scenes from Life Of Brian were filmed and Port El-Kantoui (?) was OK, but otherwise it was a bit boring. It was Ramadan like.......and it was quite interesting to see all the raddled old English bags with their 25 year old Arab boyfriends, who clearly were not simply trying to get a European passport, on no, no sirree..... bbolt

Field Marshall Montgomery was leading the party wasn't he. I understand there were several brushes with Rommell.
